Listening

Listening is one of the first effective communication skill that is addressed in books and other literature. A good listener encourages a detail conversation that can go on until all information is gathered. Listening can either be passive or active. Passive listening is just like hearing and nothing much is registering in the brain. But active listening on the other hand is when the information is interpreted. Listening must be done with a purpose so that it is easy to recall what was said.
So you might wonder what are some of the benefits of listening. One of most important benefits of listening is that it expands your knowledge. When you listen you will learn or grasp what is required of you to perform daily or in your capacity. Another benefit is that it encourages a great relationship with coworkers and even in the home. Practice effective listening and most people will see you as someone who they can depend on to share vital information.
